About the Show:

Hello and welcome to another episode of the Placemaking Podcast! I am pumped to share this conversation with all of you. There are so many great talking points on this one! I’ll be sharing with all of you that have subscribed to the email list a copy of the show notes for free! Ari is the founder and CEO of Rastegar Property Company located in Austin, Texas. Since forming Rastegar Property Company in 2015, his firm has successfully developed, redeveloped, and repositioned over 4.9M square feet with properties in 12 states and 34 US cities.

Ari has earned a reputation as a thought leader in real estate with his pioneering, investment strategies. He specializes in recession-resilient real assets and multifamily developments, building portfolios designed to lower risk and boost capital appreciation potential. Ari has frequented several publications such as Forbes, CBS, and even The Wall Street Journal.

His firm is embarking on its first ground-up development project in Dallas and it’s not a small one by any stretch of the imagination. The development consists of a large up-scale multifamily tower located on 0.45 acres near Victory Park in downtown Dallas. The architecture on this tower is truly spectacular, boasting the largest “living wall” in North America. I’ve included a link to a few articles that highlight this development in the description below.

In this episode, we are going to discuss how Ari got started in real estate development, certain principles he finds important when developing properties, and loads of advice that he would give others that are looking to get into real estate development.
